Recollections of My Life (Santiago Ramon y Cajal)

Autobiography of Santiago Ramon y Cajal (1852-1934). This book contains stories ranging from childhood to moments of daily life and reflections on his pioneering research in neuroscience. (The book is in English, it is not easy to find but can be ordered at amazon.com at about $ 30) The scientific dispute between "diffuse nervous network" and "neuron theory" supported respectively by Golgi and Cajal had become personal rivalries and dissension which reached its zenith in the 11th December 1906 in Stockholm when the two were awarded the Nobel for their research, which was renamed Nobel "hate."
